Dalton Clarke

Founder

Mr Dalton Clarke is Co-Founder & Chairman of 51 Dominance Capital. He has founded and grown a number of businesses in the automotive, energy and financial sectors.

With the knowledge of debt finance and project funding, Mr Clarke has concentrated his efforts primarily in the property, hospitality, energy, agriculture, and healthcare industries. With over 30 years of leadership and executive management experience in the private sector and a real determination to create sustainable communities throughout the world, Mr Clarke brings a high level of clarity and executive ability to the organization.

David Janneman

CEO

Mr Janneman has experience in dealing with both local South African and international business transactions, negotiations, financing and company structuring.

Areas of focus have been on: Petroleum markets, (specializing in structuring and negotiating transactions on behalf of buyers and sellers.) Project Development: (Arranging of business structures from strategy to business plan development to fundraising to execution of projects with teams that are aligned to those projects. Beneficiation of Precious Metals: (Minting and manufacture of gold and silver and distribution of related products.) Financing activities: (The nature of some of the projects undertaken, required appropriate financing as a major component to project success. Mr Janneman has been involved in arranging financing mechanisms, structures and arrangements when necessary and have led to exposure to financial market players internationally.)

Johan Van Der Merwe

Innovation Director

Mr van der Merwe has been specializing in the wholesale and retail market and in the Building Industry in South Africa for over 35 years and has been the CEO of market-leading Building Industry Companies in South Africa.

Since 1994, he has specialized in the development of unique solutions aimed at the low income, affordable and mass housing market, especially for conditions in Africa and has developed several unique solutions and products targeted at this unique market and holds Intellectual Property Rights over several developed products.

Some of these solutions and products are now being used throughout Africa and he is constantly busy with the development of revolutionary concepts unique in this field.

Fausto De Oliveira Cruz

Company Secretary

Mr Cruz has over a number of years acted as a business advisor and consultant to various Governmental Agencies. From 1997 to date Cruz has been Secretary General of OMAS – Mozambican Organization of Social Aid. He has been a member of the organization and former Secretary for Africa: IUFO – International Union of Family Organizations.d) Founder Member of CNAF – Confederação Nacional das Associações de Família. Cruz has also acted as Managing Director / CEO or Shareholder of a number of companies, including, but not limited to Oilmoz, Lda; Kayaairlines (PTY) Ltd, Tiko Investimentos SA; Oilmoz Holdings Mauritius; Sunroof Solutions, Lda; Crunchygalaxy Unip. Lda and Tanganyika Corporate Investment BANK. Cruz has attended a large number of worldwide Conferences as a speaker and as a guest in various areas of business.

Ismail Bayat

Legal Director

Mr Bayat attained his B A Degree from the University of Durban Westville in 1973 and completed his LLB Degree in 1975 also at the University of Durban Westville. He went on to do his Articles of Clerkship during 1976 and1977 and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court, South Africa in early 1978.

He has practised law since 1978 and had also taken on an academic role as a Lecturer at the Law Faculty of the University of Durban Westville from 1979 to 1993.

Ismail further studied his LLM Degree from 1987 to 1988 at the University of California, Berkeley.

In 1989 he authored Study Skills Course which culminated in him running his own business offering classes in Primary and Secondary School Maths and English as well as Study Skills Programs for Secondary School Learners and Tertiary Students from 1990 to 2003.

From 2004 to 2014 he ran a successful Business Marketing Study Skills Programs on CDs. Mr Bayat also served as a member of the Life Skills Standard Generating Body (SGB) of the South Africa Qualifications Association (SAQA) – and helped to formulate the syllabus for study skills in 2012.

From 2015, Mr Bayat, put his legal expertise to further practical implementation in running his own business as Commodities Trader – 2015.

Managed a diamond mining operation for a third party – October 2018 to January 2019 (involving, inter alia, monitoring the processing of gravel and the sorting of the diamonds).

Mr Bayat has authored and presented papers at conferences throughout his career and continues to practice law to date.

Jacques Smith

Director of Aquaculture Projects

Successful CEO/Director/Business Development Executive that has gained over 25 years of entrepreneurial experience within the IT and Technology sector. Obtained a proven track record of creating and developing new business whilst leading sales teams to consistently exceed set targets.

Professional Highlights:

  • Currently working on SamaAqua where I am playing a critical role in Aquaculture and the preservation of the oceans and their resources in Africa and outlying Islands.
  • Currently working on VERIPIX (Pty) Ltd making use of my business executive skills to expand the surveillance of Data analytics, data centre, drone, digital signatures and communication arenas.

 

  • Built a dynamic and leading role at Jam-Med where I was the Director and Shareholder working large scale turnkey projects to provide solutions to hospitals and clinics.

 

  • Received several honours and awards at Dell including membership of the Presidents’ Club, the Dell Circle of Excellence, the Dell 100 Club and selection to the Top 20 EMEA sales performers. I won the Dell International Award 3 times over a 5-year period.

 

  • Part Shareholder for Software Mart one of the three largest software retailers in South Africa at the time. As a Director and a shareholder, I managed all portfolios that included Sales, Contracts, Tenders, Licensing and the Acquisition of Corporate Accounts. Under my expert guidance, the business grew and developed to a point where it took its place in the large corporate market.

Guy Musson

Operations Director of Aquaculture Projects

Mr Musson currently serves as a director of Wild Oceans Aquaculture (Pty) Ltd, Cape Town, South Africa, a company that operates internationally to deliver sustainable commercial solutions to the marine and freshwater aquaculture industry. It has 30 years of practical commercial aquaculture experience in both seawater and freshwater and is currently involved as a specialist advisor to a number of global diverse aquaculture projects, including marine finfish and marine finfish hatcheries, abalone, public aquarium and bivalve shellfish projects. He was the head of aquaculture from November 2015 to July 2018 for Jacobsbaai Sea Products (Pty) Ltd, and, Saldanha Bay Oyster Company (Pty) Ltd, Cape Town, South Africa. Jacobsbaai Sea Products is a large commercial abalone farm that supplies approximately 150 tons of abalone to clients in the East, namely Hong Kong, China and Taiwan.
