SamaAqua-51 Dominance Capital Aquaculture Project

The SamaAqua-51 Dominance Capital Aquaculture brings food security to the world in a sustainable manner

SAMAAQUA International is an innovative aquaculture farming company focused on sustainable finfish farming in the Indian and Atlantic Oceans and on the African continent. Utilizing the latest in aquaculture technology, SamaAqua will operate an ecologically sensitive and sustainable aquaculture business that will not only produce a superior product but benefit the local community through employment opportunities, charitable endeavours and the practice of good marine stewardship on the environment.

SAMAAQUA International is formed of partners with a combined global knowledge and network of over 50 years. The project research and collateral to date has been put together by the team over the past few years. The team is remarkably diverse, capable of dealing with all aspects of the business, be it local or international. We have, as a team, managed to put together global leading experts to provide all levels of product and expertise to build a sustainable and profitable business. We understand our strengths and weaknesses and will in turn make sure we make use of experts and consultants when required.

The Project embraces the strategic development of an aquaculture industry which has been contemplated for development across four different zones, namely:

  • Land-Based Zone
  • In-shore Zone
  • Aquaculture Development Zones
  • Offshore Zones.

Three different development scenarios have also been determined as part of the MMP and these represent a low, medium, and high scale development scenario of the aquaculture sector, each with different potential aquaculture zones being developed as part of the new sector.

Three possible carrying-capacity scenarios with different aquaculture development opportunities have been identified:

1) The low-road scenario

2) The mid-road scenario

3) The high-road scenario

One of The World’s Greatest Challenges

“How do we feed more than 9 billion people by 2050 in a context of climate change, economic and financial uncertainty, and growing competition for natural resources?”

Project Outline

The project seeks to build and operate sustainable aquaculture facilities in 4 sites in South Africa, Mauritius, Seychelles and Mozambique, with a few additional sites potentially to be developed in the near future. Discussions are being held with other stake holders in other parts of the African continent regarding the construction of facilities in these other areas as well.

The initial site has a CAPEX of $50 million and will take three years to be operating at full capacity and producing an estimated 20,000 metric tons of fish per annum to supply key players in the market which have already been identified and long term relationships are already in place to ensure that the full production is absorbed into the market easily.

Partnering with 51 Dominance Capital, foresees the plans of the project being realized and the groundbreaking of the first site is planned to occur during 2021.

The project will see good returns on investment as well as those profits being used to fund growth and expansion into the market over the next several decades.
